Using a String Method:

• Wrap a piece of string or a soft measuring tape around your neck.
• Drape it to where you want the necklace to fall naturally.
• Mark the meeting point, then measure the string with a ruler.

Using an Existing Necklace:

• Lay your favorite necklace flat and measure from end to end (including the clasp) using a measuring tape or ruler.
